Three people shot in car in Detroit
Detroit police are on the lookout for two suspects accused of taking part in a triple shooting on the city’s west side early Thursday morning.
The shooting took place about 3:15 a.m. in the area of Mohawk and Vinewood, east of West Grand Boulevard and south of West Warren.
A male driver, 27, and a woman passenger were riding in a black Pontiac Grand Prix, picking up a second woman on Mohawk. The two women victims are 25 and 23, though police couldn’t immediately say which was the passenger and which was being picked up.
A white Chevy Malibu pulled up to the Grand Prix, and a man exited the Malibu and started talking to the driver of the Grand Prix. A second man then got out of the Malibu and started shooting, wounding all three victims.
The driver of the Grand Prix was able to make it to Henry Ford Hospital despite a hail of gunfire, as the Malibu gave chase and kept firing gunshots at the three victims.
The 27-year-old man and 25-year-old woman are in temporary serious condition, while the 23-year-old woman is in critical condition.
