Police: Woman stable after Sunday shooting

A woman was hospitalized Sunday after she was shot inside a vehicle on the city's northwest side, police said.

The 28-year-old woman was injured around 10:55 p.m. on the 15000 block of Steel, Detroit police officer Dan Donokowski said.

"She was sitting in the front seat of a vehicle, a green or bluish Buick, and she heard gunshots," Donakowski said. "She realized that she was shot."

Police do not have a description of the suspect.
