Detroit police released images Wednesday of a suspect wanted in a hit-and-run accident that injured a 2-year-old girl on the city’s east side.

According to police, around 6:35 p.m. Monday a burgundy Chevy Suburban was traveling east on Seven Mile near Van Dyke when it crossed the center line, striking a minivan traveling west. A 2-year-old girl in the minivan received minor injuries, police said.

The driver of the Suburban fled on foot leaving the vehicle at the scene. Police described the suspect as bald with a medium to heavy build.
