Police look for information in Lyft shooting, robbery

Police are investigating an incident in which a Lyft driver was shot at in Detroit after he picked up two passengers.

The incident, captured by TripCam, happened at 9:30 p.m. Friday in the 650 block of Chene, according to police. The Lyft driver picked up two passengers while driving in the area, the men reportedly began acting strange, police said.

The video shows the driver telling the men to get out of his vehicle. It was at that point the men took the driver’s money. The driver chased after the men to retrieve his money. That’s when they fired shots at him, police said.

The driver was not hit.
