A 22-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting on Detroit’s west side Monday afternoon, police said.

The shooting took place 4:30 p.m. on the 2500 block of Pierson, said Dontae Freeman, social media manager for the Detroit Police Department. That’s south of West Outer Drive and west of Evergreen.

After the man was shot, he was privately conveyed to an area hospital, where he was in temporary serious condition at last report.

Police who followed up at the scene to investigate were told that a blue Chevy Cruze was seen at the time of the shooting, and that it headed northbound on Pierson.
