Boy, 17, shot on Detroit’s west side
A 17-year-old boy was shot late Wednesday night on the city’s west side, police said.
It was about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when the boy was walking east on Curtis, near Greenfield, said Dontae Freeman, social media manager for the Detroit Police Department. A “silver small vehicle” pulled up, and someone inside started shooting at the boy. At least one of the bullets connected.
The boy was privately conveyed to an area hospital, and was in stable condition at last report, Freeman said.
