'Badly decomposed' male body found in vacant home
No blood or drug paraphernalia were found at the scene, police said
A man's decomposing body was found in a vacant home on Detroit's east side late Wednesday night, police said.
The man's body was found at about 10:10 p.m. on the 14400 block of Mapleridge, said Michael Woody, director of media relations for the Detroit Police Department. The area is south of East Seven Mile and just east of Chalmers.
Police found the man's body "badly decomposed," but were unable to determine the level of trauma due to the advanced nature of the decomposition. The man's age was not immediately known.
No drug paraphernalia was found at the scene, nor was any blood, Woody said.
Police are investigating.
