Police seek customer who threatened Detroit store clerk
Detroit police are seeking tips to find a woman accused of threatening a store clerk last month on the city’s north side.
The customer entered the business in the 2500 block of East Nevada with a small child at about 7 p.m. on July 13, bought items then left, but returned after breaking an alcohol bottle outside, investigators said in a statement.
“The suspect was refused another item in exchange for the broken one; she then pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the clerk, making demands and threats,” the release read.
The woman then fled with the child.
To spur tips, authorities have released surveillance images of the woman, who is wanted for felonious assault.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Detroit police at (313) 596-1140 or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800- SPEAK-UP.
