Police: Man, 21, killed in drive-by at red light
A 21-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting while stopped at a red light on Detroit's east side, police said.
The shooting took place Monday night about 6:45 p.m., in the area of East McNichols and Gunston, south of where Gunston becomes Hoover.
The victim was stopped at a red light when a black Cadillac Escalade pulled up alongside and fired shots, of which multiple struck the victim. The Escalade was last seen headed north on Gunston, toward Hoover.
Medics arrived but had to declare the victim dead at the scene. Police say the man suffered gunshot wounds "to his entire body."
Police are investigating.
