Detroit Police arrest suspect in fatal hit-and-run
Detroit Police Department's fatal squad unit has arrested a suspect in a hit-and-run that killed a 47-year-old man on Dec. 23.
Police said the victim was crossing the street on West McNichols near Rutherford when a light-blue Mustang convertible was driving westbound on McNichols and struck Ronald Wordlaw as he was walking at 7:05 p.m.
Investigative work and tips from the community and "relentless follow-up" led police to arrest Alfredrick Vasser.
Vasser was taken into custody at 2:15 p.m. Feb. 1 in the 14000 block of Rotunda in Dearborn.
