Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $1,000 reward for tips to find a man wanted in connection with a robbery last weekend at a Roseville Dollar General.

The suspect entered the store in the 25000 block of Gratiot at about 9 p.m. Sunday, selected five gift cards, then went to the register “and told the cashier that if he did not activate the cards, he would shoot him,” investigators said in a statement.

The man, described as an African-American, 6-foot-tall, 220 pounds and wearing a black North Face jacket, never showed a gun but implied he had one, according to the release.

The cashier activated the cards and the suspect, who was caught on a surveillance camera, left in a silver four-door sedan, officials reported Thursday.
