Man shot in back in downtown Detroit
A 24-year-old man was shot in his back early Sunday in downtown Detroit after an altercation at a bar, police said.
The shooting took place about 2:19 a.m. on the 2000 block of Park, which is just north of West Adams and west of Woodward.
Police say that two suspects got into an altercation with the victim at the Annex night club, which is on the 20 block of West Adams.
The argument spilled into the street, police say, at which point one of the suspects shot the victim. Police describe him as a 26 years old, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds, with a tapered haircut, full beard and connected mustache. He wore a black hoodie, a black North Face jacket, black jeans, and carried a blue steel automatic gun.
After the shooting, police say the suspect and a second man escaped in a black 2010 GMC Yukon Denali. Police describe the second man as a 26 years old, standing 6 feet tall, light skin, with short tapered hair, a mustache/goatee. He wore a red jacket and tan khakis.
Medics transported the victim to a hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.
