A 22-year-old Detroit man, Denzel Biggs, is facing five charges, including first-degree murder, related to a Jan. 7 triple shooting outside an after-hours club on the city's east side.

Authorities allege that Biggs fatally shot Antonio Fountain, a 58-year-old Detroit man, multiple times as he sat in his car on the 12900 block of East Seven Mile. The car was parked outside of a club at the time at around 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 7.

At the time, Fountain and two other shooting victims from the triple shooting, a 26-year-old man who was shot in the back of the head, and a 35-year-old man who was shot in the left buttock, survived. But Fountain was reported to be in extremely critical condition that morning, and later died.

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has charged Biggs with first-degree murder, two counts of assault with intent to murder, firearm possession by a felon, and crime with a weapon.

Biggs is due for a calendar conference on Friday, March 2 at 9 a.m. before Judge Mark Slavens at Third Circuit Court.
