An argument between cousins in their 40s on Detroit's west side Wednesday night ended in gunfire that left the older cousin in serious condition, police said.

The shooting took place about 7:30 p.m. in the area of Ohio and West Outer Drive, which is just east of Wyoming.

The two men: the 47-year-old victim and the 44-year-old suspect, were seen arguing in the area, police said.

But as the victim tried to walk away, the suspect followed him in his gray Dodge Dart, police said.

A time later, the victim was found shot.

No information on whether an arrest has been made was immediately available.
