Police: Gas station patron robbed driver who hit car

Detroit police have released video footage showing a driver who allegedly robbed another gas station customer on the city’s east side last month.
Investigators learned the customer accidentally backed into the driver’s car at a Citgo in the 19000 block of Van Dyke at about 5 p.m. Feb. 20.
“The suspect began to argue with the victim and then proceeded to remove the victim’s purse and wallet from the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle,” authorities said in a statement Friday.
The driver then fled in a silver Chrysler Concord.
