Man shot in hip in drive-by in downtown Detroit
A 23-year-old man was shot in the hip in a drive-by after an altercation Saturday morning in downtown Detroit.
The shooting took place about 1:51 a.m. on the 1500 block of Broadway, at John R., and started with an argument.
Police say the victim was in a group of men who had a verbal altercation with a group of four men.
A time later, the four men, riding in a black Jeep Cherokee, drove by the group including the victim and fired shots at them. At least one of the shots hit the victim in his hip.
Medics arrived to transport the victim to the hospital, where police say he is in stable condition. Police are on the lookout for the Cherokee and the suspects.
