Police: Man robbed of keys, wallet, lunch at gas station
A 27-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint at a Citgo gas station on Detroit's east side Wednesday morning.
Police said at about 5:35 a.m. the victim was approached by two men in black hoodies while using the air pump at the Citgo on the 6500 block of Gratiot, which is west of East Grand Boulevard.
Officer Dan Donakowski, a Detroit police spokesman, says the two men approached the victim with guns drawn and announced a hold-up. They took his wallet, cellphone, car keys and even his lunch box, but did not take his vehicle.
Police are investigating. The gas station is part of Project Green Light, per the city's website.
