Woman charged with murder, witness intimidation
Krystle Begley of Taylor was charged with first-degree, premeditated murder and witness intimidation this week in a slaying on Detroit's west side.
Begley, 35, was charged Thursday with first-degree murder, intimidating a witness and felony firearm. She was denied bond and remains in the Wayne County Jail.
At 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday Feb. 21 in the 9400 block of Woodside, south of Interstate 96 and east of Livernois, police responded to a report that a shooting victim had been found in the street.
The victim, whom court records identify as Roice G. Woods, was hit twice in his chest, once in his collarbone, and once in his lower stomach.
Woods' death was ruled a homicide, according to the Wayne County Medical Examiner. He was 36.
She will appear before Wayne Circuit Court Judge Deborah Lewis Langston on March 22 for a probable-cause conference and again on March 28 for a preliminary examination.
