Interstate 75 southbound reopened at Interstate 94 on Wednesday after a semitrailer crashed into a beam on the East Warren overpass Tuesday over I-75.

Michigan Department of Transportation spokeswoman Diane Cross said southbound I-75 reopened at 4:45 p.m. at I-94. I-94 ramps to southbound I-75 reopened shortly before rush hour.

Crews closed southbound Interstate 75 at I-94 for bridge repairs early Wednesday, March 21, 2018

Starting at 5 a.m., southbound I-75 was closed at I-94. Eastbound and westbound ramps from I-94 to I-75 south are also closed, as workers remove the outside beam of the East Warren bridge.

Northbound on I-75, from Mack to I-94, the left lane is closed, but the right three lanes will be open. And Warren will remain open above I-75.

MDOT suggests motorists use the Lodge Freeway, Woodward, Gratiot and Grand River as alternate routes.
