A 45-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of her apartment building at 12:10 a.m. Friday, according to Detroit police.

Officer Vanessa Burt said the robbery occurred in the 3000 block of Third, and that the woman was not harmed during the robbery. Her black and orange backpack was taken, which contained cash, money orders and personal items.

“The first perpetrator announced a holdup and took her backpack,” Burt said. “He and the second perpetrator then fled in a Dodge Avenger in an unknown direction.”

The first robber is described as a black male in his 20s, around 6-feet tall with a medium complexion, wearing blue jeans and Timberland boots and armed with a handgun.

A description for the second man wasn’t immediately available.
