Detroit police are investigating a nonfatal shooting early Saturday on the city's northwest side.
Police said the incident occurred at 12:37 a.m. at Linwood and McGraw in the Northwest Goldberg neighborhood.
A 41-year-old man was standing outside of a residence on 6100 block of 16th Street talking to a friend when multiple shots rang out, striking the victim, police said.
The victim was shot in the groin and left leg. He said his friend drove off in a blue Equinox and he had no idea where the shots came from.
