The Detroit Police Department is trying to identify and find the killer of a man who was gunned down in his car late Monday night on the city's west side.

The fatal shooting took place just after 11:05 p.m. on the 19200 block of Rosemont, said Officer Dan Donakowski, a Detroit Police Department spokesman. The area is north of West Seven Mile and west of the Southfield Freeway.

The victim, who police believe to be in his mid-20s, was shot multiple times, and was declared dead at the scene, while sitting in a blue Chrysler 300.
