Reward offered for tips in 2017 Detroit stabbing
Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering up to $1,000 for tips leading to an arrest in a stabbing reported last year on Detroit’s north side.
A 25-year-old man was standing at the bus stop near Seven Mile and Van Dyke about 3:30 a.m. Dec. 18 when a suspect demanded money and other items, investigators said in a statement.
When the 25-year-old refused, “the suspect produced a knife and began assaulting the victim,” the release said. His cell phone also was stolen.
The victim is recovering from several stab wounds to his abdomen, police said Thursday.
