Carjacking victims robbed of gold chains, watch
A carjacking early Sunday of a 2011 Buick Regal also resulted in the two victims having gold chains and a watch stolen, police said.
The carjacking happened at 5:15 a.m. on Meyers and Chippewa, south of West Eight Mile.
The victims were in the Buick Regal, stopped at a red light, when a dark minivan blocked the Regal's path. Two men got out, one armed with a handgun, the other with a rifle, and they stole the driver's vehicle and two gold necklaces, along with a watch worn by the passenger. The suspects fled the scene.
Police offered descriptions for two of the three suspects.
One is about 24 years old man standing 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a medium build. He carried the rifle. The second man is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, medium build. He carried the handgun.
