Detroit police seek suspect in west-side shooting

Detroit police are investigating a Tuesday night shooting on the city's west side that left a 28-year-old woman injured, officials said.

Police said the shooting happened at about 11:56 p.m. in the 9300 block of Kentucky Street near Wyoming Avenue and West Chicago Street.

Officials said the victim was sitting inside a home at a dining room table when an unknown suspect or suspects began firing several shots into the residence.

One of the bullets struck the woman in the back, according to police.

Investigators have no further information about the incident at this time, officials said.
