Police: Boy, 13, shot through window

A 13-year-old boy was shot in his foot early Thursday morning at a home on Detroit's west side, police said.

The shooting took place at 1:35 a.m. on the 8400 block of Plainview, said Sgt. Nicole Kirkwood, a Detroit Police Department spokeswoman. That's south of Joy Road and east of Evergreen.

Police say the victim was lying on a couch in a front room of the home when a bullet came through the front window. 

Medics transported him to an area hospital, where he was last listed in stable condition. Police are investigating.
