Police said they're looking for this man because he exposed himself to a woman.

Detroit police are asking the public for help to identify a man who exposed himself last week to a woman on the city's west side.

The incident happened at about 10:30 a.m. on April 18 in the area of West McNichols and Schaefer, according to officials.

The woman, 67, was walking east on McNichols when she was approached by a man who had exposed his genitals, police said. The man asked the woman to perform a sexual act.

She ran into a nearby store and the suspect followed her but then fled north on Schaefer, officials said.

The suspect is described as an African-American male wearing a baseball cap, a light-gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black and white shoes.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident should call the Detroit Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit at (313) 596-1950 or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1 (800) SPEAK-UP.
