An 18-year-old woman was shot in her left leg early Sunday on Detroit's west side, and while police believe her boyfriend may have pulled the trigger, she has not cooperated with the investigation.

Police say the alleged domestic violence shooting took place just before 2 a.m. in a home on the 1200 block of 25th Street, north of Interstate 75 and east of West Grand Boulevard.

Medics arrived and took the woman to a area hospital, where she refused to elaborate on exactly what happened. Police believe the suspect left the home on foot, toting a handgun.

Later Sunday, at about 4 p.m., the suspect was arrested. The victim was listed in stable condition.
