Suspect in west side Detroit nonfatal shooting arrested
Detroit police have arrested a man for shooting and injuring a woman on the city's west side Tuesday night.
Officials said the incident happened at about 10:48 p.m. in the 7200 block of Stahelin near West Warren Avenue and the Southfield Freeway.
The woman, 41, got into an argument with the suspect at the location, police said. The male suspect, 29, fired a shot into the ground and the round ricocheted and struck the victim.
Police said the suspect shot the woman in the left leg. Medics transported the woman to a hospital where she is listed in stable condition, according to authorities.
