The Detroit Police Department is asking the public for help in finding a man who shot and killed another man last month on the city's west side.

Officials said the shooting happened at about 7:30 p.m. on April 29 in the 12900 block of Rutherford near Greenfield Road and Schoolcraft Avenue.

According to authorities, an unidentified man exited a black Dodge Charger at the location and fatally shot a 47-year-old man. The suspect then fled north on Rutherford in the vehicle.

Police said the victim got into an argument with another man before the shooting. At the time of the argument, the victim was accompanied by his girlfriend, officials said.
