Singers can apply to audition for a coveted opportunity to sing in front of up to 65,000 fans at Ford Field. The auditions start with a video submission and applicants will be eliminated through a lengthy process.

For the submission, applicants are asked to sing an entire version of the national anthem acapella and upload the video to the site or YouTube.

"Due to the high volume of submissions, results will be emailed two to four weeks after receipt," said the anthem audition registration on the Lions website said.

Candidates who are invited to move on to the next phase of the audition process will be notified by email with details.
