Detroit police find $27K in narcotics, arrest gang member

Police found five guns, ammunition and masks during the search.

Detroit police arrested a 31-year-old man Friday after a search warrant executed at a home in the city's east side turned up guns, masks and $27,000 worth of narcotics.

The Detroit Police Department's Gang Intelligence Unit found 15.3 grams of heroin and 3.2 grams of marijuana while executed a search warrant for narcotics in the 14700 block of Kilbourne Street.

The search also uncovered three rifles, one handgun, 1 machine gun, large amount of ammunition, digital scales, a paintball gun and a mask. 

Police found five guns, ammunition and masks during the search.

Police said the man, with a gang affiliation, was arrested and is being held at the Detroit Detention Center.
