A 24-year-old man was shot in his right buttock Tuesday night during a drive-by on the Detroit's west side, police said.

The drive-by took place just before 7:10 p.m. in the 9300 block of Terry, south of West Chicago and west of Hubbell.

The victim was trying to enter a home when someone drove by in a blue or teal Chevy Cavalier and fired shots, striking him in his backside, said Officer Holly Lowe, a spokeswoman for the Detroit Police Department.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Eleven shell casings were found at the scene, Lowe said.
