A 69-year-old Detroit man is facing three counts of "false report or threat of terrorism" after allegedly making "credible threats" during a late February visit to a veterans office downtown.

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office says that on Feb. 27, just after 2:30 p.m., Chester B. Trail Jr., 69, "made credible threats to shoot a man and two females" at the Wayne County Veterans Affairs office on the 20 block of West Adams, just west of Woodward.

The three counts relate to the three victims.

At his arraignment Tuesday, Trail was given a $25,000/10 percent bond, records show. Wayne County Jail records showed Trail as an inmate earlier in the week, but not any longer.

Along with the bond, Trail was ordered to have no contact with the veterans office.

He is due in court next Tuesday for a probable cause conference and again on June 19 for his preliminary exam, both before Third Circuit Court Judge William McConico.
