It looks like the thieves who have been breaking into Detroit liquor stores by crashing vehicles into them have struck again.

Police said a white pick up truck was used to crash through a door in the liquor store in the 8000 block of East Forest Avenue near Van Dyke Road.

The break-in and robbery of the store happened at about 1:56 a.m. Tuesday at the Liberty Liquor & Food store.

The store participates in the city's Project Green Light program, the two-year-old effort that enables police to monitor live video feeds at member businesses and locations, said Detroit police spokesman Dontae Freeman.

He also said it's not clear what was taken from the store and the robbery appears to be similar to a series of break-ins at business the department is investigating.

Last week, officials asked the public for help to find five suspects wanted for more than two dozen smash-and-grabs throughout the city.

Police said the suspects have allegedly been involved in 25 breaking-and-entering incidents dating back to Jan. 12.
