Man arrested after triple shooting
A 44-year-old man is in custody after a triple shooting early Sunday on Detroit's west side, police said.
The shooting took place about 12:35 a.m. on the 13000 block of Mecca, which is north of Plymouth Road and east of Schaefer.
Police said the shots were fired during an altercation, wounding the three men, all of whom were privately taken to a hospital.
A 42-year-old man was shot four times and went into surgery. His condition was not immediately available.
A 37-year-old man was shot in once in his buttocks, and his condition is pending.
A 44-year-old man was shot once in his left foot, and is in temporary serious condition.
The suspect was arrested later Sunday morning on Schaefer and police also recovered the handgun believed to have been used in the shooting.
