Detroit Public Schools Community District will be letting out class three hours early Monday, the district announced, in response to the expected extreme heat that hovered near 100 degrees in Metro Detroit on Sunday, which meteorologists say will return for another day.

A list of exactly when each school will close on Monday is available at the district's website.

Temperatures are expected to return to normal for this time of year Tuesday — high 70s, low 80s. Thursday is the last day of the school year.
