Man killed at west side gas station

Detroit homicide detectives are investigating after an 26-year-old man was gunned down while charging his phone Wednesday night at a gas station on the city's west side.

The homicide happened about 10:40 p.m. at a Marathon gas station on the 12000 block of West Chicago, just east of Meyers.

Police are searching for two suspects for a homicide on 12000 block of West Chicago.

Police say the victim was charging his cellphone at the gas station when two armed men entered the station and started shooting. The victim was shot in his head. Then the two men fled on foot.

Medics arrived, but the victim was dead at the scene. 

No detailed suspect description was available.
