$2,500 reward for tips in Detroit slaying
A typical spring ritual: A party, food, beverages. But the fun soon was marred by tragedy.
A shooting on Detroit's east side led to the death of Kaylup Andrews, who was sitting in a car with friends near Waveney Avenue about 11 p.m. June 15 after the party. Three males walked up and started shooting inside, investigators said in a statement.
A week later, Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering up to $2,500 for tips leading to suspects in the slaying last weekend on Detroit's east side.
Andrews was struck in the head, police reported. The 21-year-old was hospitalized then later died from his injuries.
