One man found dead in crashed car on Detroit's west side

A man was found shot to death and another was taken to a hospital with head pain after police found the pair in a crashed car on Detroit's west side Sunday.

Police found two men in a crashed car at 10:03 p.m. Sunday in the 2500 block of West Philadelphia Street near New Bethel Baptist Church. A 39-year-old man was found dead with a gunshot wound, police said.

A 24-year-old man in the car  was complaining of head pain and was taken to a local hospital. His condition was unknown, although police said his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
