Reward announced in high school student's slaying in Detroit
Tra’Sean Courtney was slated to graduate from Oak Park High School this month and dreamed of one day playing in the NBA, relatives said.
Those goals ended when the 18-year-old nursing home worker was fatally shot while hanging out with friends April 5 on Detroit’s west side.
Crime Stoppers of Michigan announced it is offering up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest. That reward jumps to $3,500 if tips are received by midnight Tuesday, the group said.
Investigators have been seeking clues since someone opened fire on the black Jeep Grand Cherokee in which Courtney rodeabout 10:45 p.m. near Fenkell and Rutherford.
