A 30-year-old Detroit man faces four felony charges, including criminal sexual conduct and armed robbery in relation to a late-April home invasion on the city's east side.

The morning of April 27, at 4 a.m., on the 12000 block of Stringham — north of East Warren, east of Conner — authorities allege Christopher Hightower broke into a woman's home through a bedroom window.

Once inside, he "gestured as if he was armed with a gun" and sexually assaulted the 56-year-old woman, police said.

Afterwards, Hightower allegedly stole property, then fled the scene.

Hightower is charged with four felony counts: two of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, one of home invasion, and one of armed robbery. His arraignment is expected Friday at 10:30 a.m. at 36th District Court.
