Three people, including two teenagers, were shot early Thursday morning at a block party on Detroit's east side, police said.

The triple shooting took place about 12:15 a.m. on the 12700 block of Wilshire, which is south of East Outer Drive and west of Dickerson.

Police say the three victims — a 17-year-old female, a 27-year-old male, and an 18-year-old male were at the party when an "unknown suspect" pulled a gun and opened fire.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts. He carried the gun openly on the street before opening fire and wounding the three victims.

The 17-year-old woman was left in stable condition, the 27-year-old man in critical, and the 18-year-old man in critical. A 20-year-old man suffered a fracture while running away from the violence, but was not shot.
