Detroit – The annual Belle Isle Art Fair takes place next month in Detroit and will feature more than 100 artists from 20 states.
The event is set for Aug. 4-5 on the island park in the Detroit River. Sculpture, prints, jewelry and other kinds of artworks will be on display. Organizers say the fair is set in a circle to help promote a more relaxed atmosphere than some other art fairs.
The fair is set up near the James Scott Memorial Fountain.
The Detroit Institute of Arts, Pewabic Pottery and Arts and Scraps also will be at the fair. Food trucks, specialty foods and a beer tent will be available.
