Five men were injured during separate shootings between Friday night and Saturday morning.

Five men were injured in separate nonfatal shootings overnight into Saturday morning, Detroit police say.

Police say the first shooting occurred at 2 a.m. in the 13700 block of West 6 Mile, near Schaefer Freeway. Police found a 35-year-old man had sustained a grazing gunshot wound to his head. The victim said he was engaged in a conversation with an unknown person when he heard a gunshot and felt pain. The victim drove himself to the hospital and is listed in temporary serious condition.

At 3:13 a.m., police dispatched to a shooting at Jefferson and Lakewood where they found a 44-year-old man with gunshot wound to his right toe. Police said the victim gave several different accounts of the shootings, including an attempted robbery, but the officer could not find a shooting scene.

At 3:40 a.m., officers arrived at the hospital where they spoke to a 27-year-old victim who stated he was walking down Meyers and West 7 Mile when he heard gunshots and then felt pain. He was shot in the left upper thigh and was privately taken to the hospital. He is in stable condition and the suspect is unknown.

At 3:50 a.m., officers responded to the 5900 block of Elmer Street where a 26-year-old man claimed he accidentally shot himself. The victim said he was sitting at a table and when he removed his gun from his waistband and placed it on the table, it discharged,  wounding him in the left leg.

At 5:50 a.m., police responded to the 11600 block of Stahelin, where multiple armed suspects shot a 27-year-old man. Police said the suspects entered the home and began shooting at the victim. He managed to flee by jumping out of the front window and ran to his mother's home in the 12000 block of Stahelin, where he called police. The victim is in temporary serious condition with a gunshot wound to the right shoulder.

Police also responded to a gunman firing shots in the 4600 block of Bedford at 6:17 a.m. Saturday. Police said the man was subdued and privately taken to a crisis center without incident.
