Police: Drive-by shooters caught in the act
Detroit police were in the right place at the right time when shots were fired Monday afternoon on the city's east side and arrested three suspects shortly after gunfire rang out.
The shots were fired on the 10000 block of Harper, just east of Gratiot, at about 3:40 p.m., said Dontae Freeman, a Detroit Police Department spokesman.
Police were in the area at the time and quickly caught up to a Chevy Cruze with three suspects inside, black males ages 17, 17, and 23. Police also recovered a gun from the vehicle.
Police believe the men in the Cruze fired the shots, possibly in an attempted drive-by shooting, but no victim has been found as yet.
