Pizza delivery driver shot in head, neck near WSU
A Domino's pizza driver was shot in his forehead and neck early Wednesday morning while making a delivery near the Wayne State University campus in Midtown, police said.
The shooting took place about 1 a.m. on the 600 block of Willis, said Officer Holly Lowe, a Detroit Police Department spokeswoman. That's south of West Forest and west of Cass.
Lowe said the driver, a 33-year-old white man, had just dropped off a pizza when he was approached by two armed men, who shot him on the left side of his forehead and his neck.
Medics transported the victim to a hospital, where he was listed in temporary serious condition.
The victim's silver, 2005 Jeep Liberty was also stolen during the ordeal, but has since been recovered.
