$2,500 reward for tips in 2012 Detroit slaying
Six years after a Detroit man's body was found, Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering up to $2,500 for tips leading to an arrest, officials said Thursday.
A Detroit police officer spotted the remains on fire near Hubbell and Fullerton about 2:45 a.m. June 5, 2012, investigators said in a statement.
The body was identified as David Leon Reid. The 35-year-old artist had last been seen the day before near Schaefer and Chicago, getting into a dark van or SUV in a Comerica Bank parking lot, authorities reported.
If a tip leading to an arrest is received by midnight, Crime Stoppers will raise the reward total to $3,500.
