Detroit police have released images of a man wanted in a break-in this month at a west-side business.

The suspect rammed an industrial truck through a back wall at the store in the 18700 block of West Warren about 5:50 a.m. Aug. 5 before stealing from the cash register, investigators said in a statement.

He then fled north on Stahelin. The truck was recovered the next day near Whitlock and Southfield, less than a mile away from the crime scene, according to the release.

Surveillance video captured images of the man at a nearby gas station before the theft.

The suspect was seen at a gas station shortly before ramming into a business early Aug. 5.

Anyone who recognizes him or knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Detroit Police Department Sixth Precinct at (313) 596-5640. Crime Stoppers of Michigan is also taking anonymous tips at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
