Quadruple shooting leaves 1 dead in Detroit

Detroit — Four people were shot late Saturday night in a drive-by on Detroit’s west side, and one of them, a 20-year-old woman, died, police said.

The quadruple shooting took place about 11:30 p.m. at what police call a family gathering at Ferry Park and 14th,  south of West Grand Boulevard and Rosa Parks.

A blue Buick Rendezvous drove past the gathering and opened fire, hitting the 20-year-old woman who died, along with a 23-year-old man shot in his right leg, a 23-year-old man shot in his right foot, and a woman, whose age was not immediately available, who was shot on the left side of her back.

The three surviving victims are reported to be in stable condition.
